Chinese web users can see full, uncensored results for their Google search by replacing “&meta=” with “&meta=cr%3DcountryBR” in the URL. Once the string is replaced, the censorship will not affect the results.

I always get awed by Nature and I visit apod (Astronomy Picture Of the Day), Nat Geo pod (National Geographic Photo Of the Day), and espod (Earth Science Picture Of the Day) daily. But I’m tired of the daily mouse clicks to store those pictures on my Mac. Below are two Perl scripts to lessen the fingers. They should run smoothly on Mac OS X, except the script for Nat Geo pod requires addtional install of LWP through CPAN (I will give instructions to achieve this below).
