我在上海，有上海卫视体育和CCTV5可以看。但看上海卫视体育的时间要远远多于CCTV5的时间，前者就专业性而言要远远好于后者。这不仅仅是我的看法，在别人眼里CCTV5和ESPN比起来不过是“站在关云长旁边”的“王屠夫”。

This may be a strange situation: I’m using iBook, I prefer Linux on PCs, and I always say M$ sucks, but an M$ product is always on the run on my iBook and I am pretty enjoying the situation. I hope this wouldn’t happen but I can’t resist the joy. This is caused by just one reason — 台北愛樂電台 (Philharmonic Radio Taipei). It offers great music, classical and Jazz, with introduction and comments in Chinese 24h a day. There are many, may be too many clsssical music radio stations on the net, but, hey, the anchor men or women are speaking Chinese and this rocks. I prefer using the music as a background so I don’t want to spend too much attention on what they are saying, so Chinese will be the best choice as it is my native language. And till now, this is the best classical music radio station in Chinese I ever heard. But the radio station offers only one format of stream, and I had no choice to do.

Connotea, a del.icio.us like tag bookmarking site, annouced the release of its source code. Connotea was created by Nature publishing group and it offers some other features comparing Del.ico.us to suit some needs of scientists. Another tagging site aiming at scientists is CiteULike which offers a great feature that allowes users to import/export to BibTeX files (I need this feature badly) or export to Endnote files. Both are registration free and easy to use with bookmarklet offered. Both are worth trying.

Today when I opened Firefox and then clicked on Bloglines, one damned thing happened: it didn’t show me the hundreds entries unread instead what jumped out was a login page. I wondered for a while then logged in again. Same thing. Send me forgotten password, not work. To check out whether it is a fault of my browser, I tried on Camino and Safari. Same. So I wrote a letter to Bloglines, hope they solved the problem soon. Finally I used an alternative method to check out where the problem lay. I tried to register a new user, but after I submitted the form, a notion showed that the user database didn’t work now.

As I searched for a while and found nothing notifying a database or server maintainance, I’m wondering the possibility of a hacking. Wait and see.

UPDATE#1: When I check out the site around 14:30 GMT, it backs to normal.

Evan Williams, one of the two founders who created Blogger and the No. 1 of Blogger user profiles, published in his blog about a new feature of GMail: Web Clip which displays headline-like things fed by feeds. Sounds cool, but I’m not interested.

每一个在我现在呆的这个所里拥有过一个信箱的人应该都知道什么是Spam。不是多，而是太多了。每日与病毒和垃圾为伍简直令人作呕。所以我曾用过Debian GNU/Linux，然后买了iBook，跳出那个病毒网，可惜垃圾邮件时刻存在着。还好实验室的Linux服务器还没有撤掉，用Openwebmail + Spamassassin解决了这个问题。
